A new generation of trawl-doors developed by an aeronautical engineer with intention to obtain:

Fuel saving
Increased towing speed
Easy to handle on deck due to smaller stowage space
Better stability
Uniform spreading force on bottom and near surface
Only one attachment point on back side of the door
Very fast to obtain full spreading force

The Injector-door has been tested on several faroes trawlers during the last year with excellent results. The trawler has been able to increase the towing speed up to 1 - 1.5 knots with the same engine power or to save 15-18% fuel, compared with the best trawl-doors on the marked.
